Meet Servogear at SeaWork

Servogear and partner Brunvoll look forward to showcase energy-efficient propulsion systems for fast speed vessels at the SeaWork International workboat trade fair in Southampton 11-13 June.

SeaWork is one of the most important meeting places for Servogear, and we look forward to meet existing and potential customers at boot PB103.

- It is good to be back in Southampton. In every segment of the workboat industry, the operators are demanding more energy-efficient vessels, with the highest possible bollard push and manoeuvrability. Custom made high-speed crew transport vessels for the offshore wind industry is still a hot topic, sales manager Martijn Bemelen states.

Servogear’s hybrid concept, with the HDE220 gearbox at the very heart of it, is expected to draw a lot of attention from shipowners, shipyards and ship designers at SeaWork.

- Since last year our first Servogear Ecoflow PropulsorTM Hybrid has been launched on the ‘Fjordled’ fast ferry on the Norwegian coast. The vessel with two HDE220 light-weight gearboxes from Servogear is operated by Norled, Norway’s largest fast ferry operator. The vessel uses its’ batteries in port areas, to reduce local pollution, noise and cut the emissions of climate gases, Bemelen says.

At the fair Servogear will showcase its’ complete portfolio of renowned products, consisting of controllable pitch propellers, shaft brackets, effect rudders, propeller tunnels and gearboxes. Brunvoll will demonstrate their state-of-the-art control and energy management systems.
