Servogear has successfully delivered its’ energy efficient Ecoflow Propulsor TM system for the Astilleros Armon built and recently launched ‘Hodor’ yacht support vessel.
This ‘Shadow Cat’ yacht support vessel is 66,2 meter long with a maximum speed of 22.5 kts. Successful sea trials have been conducted this spring and the vessel is recently handed over to her owner.
Servogear’s Ecoflow Propulsor TM delivery comprises of 2050 mm propellers, shaft lines, shaft brackets and effect rudders. Design of the propeller tunnels is also for this project part of the scope. Long term partner Brunvoll Mar-EL is delivering the propulsion control system preventing engines from overloading at all conditions.
The vessel is designed by Incat Crowther Australia and built at Astilleros Armon’s yard in Burela at the Spanish Bay of Biscay.
- We have been working closely with INCAT for quite some years and highly appreciate this vote of confidence from Astilleros Armon. These are particularly important contracts as they are providing us with a foothold in a new vessel segment. This ‘shadow cat’ order confirms that our flexible propulsion solutions can be used to provide market-leading energy efficiency on a wide range of vessels, sales manager Martijn Bemelen says.
